How do you turn an artist’s sound into a space?
For singer-songwriter Dexter Jordan, the goal was to create a performance environment that felt intimate enough for the music while still commanding the scale of the stage.
The set needed to become part of the performance—not compete with it.

Objective: Design a performance environment that visually supports Dexter Jordan’s sound, presence, and live storytelling while creating a distinct world around the artist.
Rather than treating the stage as a backdrop, The Set was designed as an extension of the performance itself.
Light, scale, texture, and placement worked together to frame Dexter without overwhelming him—allowing the environment to shift with the emotion of the music while maintaining a consistent visual world.
